TVET sector opportunity: attend The Belt and Road International Conference on TVET

The Belt and Road International Conference on TVET will take place at Shenzhen Polytechnic from Thursday 10 May to Saturday 12 May 2018. The conference aims to provide a platform to build understanding and strengthen international collaboration between China and other countries in the vocational education sector, to support the Belt and Road Initiative[1].

The conference will be jointly hosted by The Chinese Society of Vocational and Technical Education, the Central Institute for Vocational and Technical Education of the Ministry of Education of China, and the Department of Education of Guangdong Province.

Around 300 participants made up from national and local government, international education organisations and TVET sector leaders are expected to attend.

Notes:

  1. Registration fee: free of charge
  2. No. of participants from of each organization/institution: one or two senior representatives
  3. Hotel options:

    The reserved hotel for the Conference is Seaview Gleetour Hotel (4-star Hotel, around RMB 720-800/night/king-bed room including breakfast and VAT; Hotel address: 3-5 Guangqiao Street, Shenzhen, 518000, China.

    The host, Shenzhen Polytechnic, will help reserve hotels for all the registered participants upon request. The accommodation cost will be covered by the participants. A free shuttle bus will be provided between the venue and the Seeview Gleetour Hotel during the Conference.

    Other recommended 5-star hotels for reference (reservations need to be made by the participants):

  1. One welcome dinner will be provided at the reserved hotel (Seaview Gleetour Hotel) on Thursday 10 May 2018
  2. Lunches on 11 May and 12 May 2018 and dinner on 11 May 2018 will be provided by the organizer
  3. All other costs, including visa costs, travel costs and accommodation, will be covered by participants
