Opportunity for UK university students to undertake internships in China through the Generation UK campaign

Generation UK - China was launched by the British Council in 2013. By 2020, it aims to help 80,000 students from the UK boost their employability, enhance their long-term job prospects, and develop a global mind-set through study and work experience opportunities in China.

UK students and recent graduates can spend two months in China in 2019 on an internship placement gaining valuable skills and expanding their horizons through the Generation UK – China internship programme.

Applicants choose from over 15 industry sectors in six booming Chinese cities, and start dates are throughout the year.

Funding covers internship placement fees, accommodation, travel insurance, airport pick-up and support throughout the placement. Funding support is focused on those from low-income backgrounds. Further eligibility criteria apply and can be found on our website.

The Generation UK programme is a great way to develop students’ professional skills and international outlook.

We would be very grateful if you could share this opportunity with relevant departments at your university and with students directly.
