An opportunity to digitally market your Summer English Courses to learners in five of the GCC countries!

Following the success of previous summer campaigns, the British Council is planning to run a Social Media marketing campaign again to promote UK summer English courses to audiences in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain. Saudi Arabia has moved up to be the UK’s 2nd largest sending market for ELT, and together the five Gulf countries account for 14% of the average student weeks spent in the UK (English UK, 2016), an increase by 27% from the previous year. In 2018, school holiday dates in the region and Eid breaks overlap particularly well with UK summer English programmes!

Last year's campaign reached more than 1.1 million unique users and generated 4.8 million impressions. The 2018 campaign will target mainly young learners and their parents and will consist of a series of posts promoting the UK as an ELT destination and offering practical advice on choosing a course, as well as sponsored content from participating providers.

The marketing campaign will run on the Study UK Facebook channel in the above countries over 3-4 week period, starting on 10 May 2018. This timeframe is planned to allow sufficient time for potential students to sign up and complete travel and visa arrangements in time.
