Funded opportunities for educators to explore India with a view to building short-term faculty-led study abroad programs. All participants will be expected to express their preference for one or more of the three programs described below:

  • Program 1: Rural Public Health. Cities to be visited include Bangalore, Mysore, Nagpur, and Pune.
  • Program 2: Social Change & Entrepreneurship. Cities to be visited include Chennai, Madurai, Hyderabad, and Pondicherry.
  • Program 3: Culinary Arts, Healthcare, Food Security, Markets, & Social Change. Cities to be visited include London, Wellbeck, Bangalore, and Coorg.

Further details on the three programs can be found on Manodharma. Itineraries will be posted in October and will be periodically updated until December 15, 2018.

Manodharma is interested in identifying committed faculty known for their teaching excellence who are eager to explore an international dimension to their own interests that have the potential to benefit a broad group of their students and other faculty on their campus. We also expect their institution to support their future interests in launching faculty-led study abroad programs in India.

Manodharma travel grant will cover only expenses for the 2-week immersion trip within India. International travel not included in grant.

Global citizens interested in transformative social impact tourism are also invited to apply. They will be admitted based on availability of seats and for a fee of $4,500 (exclusive of international airfare).
