Invitation for the Counsellor Association of Taiwan (CAT) University Fair in September 2018

The Counsellor Association of Taiwan (CAT), comprised of 25 secondary schools is delighted to invite UK institutions to participate in their first-annual university fair this September.

The fair will be taking place on Saturday 15 September 2018 at 14.00, which is two days before the British Council Hong Kong school roadshow.  It is estimated at least 900 students, parents, and counselors to be in attendance at this event in Taipei.

About the host school – Taipei American School (TAS)

 

Founded in 1949, Taipei American School (TAS) is an American curriculum school and has approximate 2,300 students from kindergarten to 12th grade (i.e. Key Stage 1 to 5 in the UK).  Most graduates of TAS go on to attend colleges and universities in United States (US), although some choose to attend schools in other countries.

The Secondary section offers 30 Advanced Placement (AP) courses as well as 37 International Baccalaureate (IB) courses and IB diplomas additionally. Students are often given the chance to take AP and/or IB courses, starting from the 9th grade. The most of popular subject areas for their students this year are: Medicine, Business, Arts and Engineering.
