Russian ELT market has shown a significant increase during 2017, the number of short-term visas issued to Russian students for ELT-courses and summer schools grew on 73% (!) for Q1-Q3 2017 compared to the same period last year.

Thus, the British Council Russia would like to celebrate the UK’s excellence in teaching English as a foreign language and to attract more Russian students studying English in the UK. So with a support of the GREAT Challenge fund we are happy to invite UK English language providers located in Northern England to take part in the FAM tour for the best Russian education agencies, selected by their professionalism and excellent results. This FAM tour is expected to bring a tight and fruitful collaboration between ELT providers located in Northern England and high-profile Russian educational agents.

You will get an opportunity to show Russian agents your centre, to talk about the programmes you offer and to sign agreements with them.

A group of 11 education agents will visit up to 12 centres in Northern England from 5 to 9 March 2018.

Agents will be chosen according to their reputation, number of students sent to UK ELT and feedback from their current clients in UK.

UK language centres will be included in this visit on first come first served basis but logistics of the tour might be taken into account. Additionally, a networking event will be organised in Manchester for a bigger group of ELT providers to meet Russian agents.
