Cross Border Higher Education (CBHE) Strategic Partnership Meeting in Nigeria
In order to take advantage of the new CBHE initiative of the Nigerian government, the British Council Nigeria is collaborating with the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) to organise a policy-level strategic meeting to develop partnerships between UK and Nigerian Universities.
Date: 3 and 4 September 2012
Venue: Rockview Hotel, Plot 196, Adetokunbo Ademola Crescent, Wuse 2 Abuja
Target participants: Honourable Minister of Education, Executive Secretary NUC, Vice Chancellors, Deans of postgraduate schools, Head of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), senior academics from UK universities and other high profile stake holders
Aim: The event will be an excellent opportunity to discuss and formulate sustainable mutually beneficial partnership and split-site models that would lead to an increase in PhD degrees acquired by academic staff of Nigerian universities
Deadline for application: Friday 20 July 2012
Participation fee: £750 per institution
