Competition for UK students as part of the GREAT Festival of Innovation in Hong Kong

The Department for International Trade, British Council and Jardine Matheson warmly invite you to participate in a competition for UK students as part of Day 4 of the GREAT Festival of Innovation taking place in Hong Kong on 24 March 2018.

Jardine Matheson has an extensive track record of entrepreneurship and proven ability to execute ideas developed by their #NextGenLeaders. Innovate Jardines was launched to nurture game changing ideas and to create a catalyst to bring new ideas to life.

On Day 4 of the GREAT Festival of Innovation, Jardine Matheson would like to run a Dragons’ Den-style competition. Individually or as a team, students are invited to develop and present an innovative idea around creating an excellent retail customer experience for the businesses in Dairy Farm Group. Outstanding teams will be selected to pitch their proposals to a panel of industry experts in a bid to win an exciting 6-week internship opportunity in Hong Kong and $4000 gift card from Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

As a finalist of the competition, outstanding teams will also be joining global decision makers and leading thinkers for a unique meeting of minds with access to the rest of the Festival on the 24th March. Here, they will be able to connect with peers and leaders in business, finance, creativity, technology and trade, and learn how to stay ahead through insightful presentations, panel discussions, debates and workshops. The competition will culminate in the afternoon with the Dragons’ Den-style final in the scenic Hong Kong Asia Society venue.
