Call for the UK HE sector to join the British Council Turkey at the IEFT Fairs

British Council Turkey is pleased to announce its participation at the IEFT Fairs with the 'Study UK Days’ theme.

We invite the UK HE Institutions to join us at the Study UK Pavilion at IEFT Fairs in March 2018. British Council Turkey will only be attending the Istanbul leg of the events. However the offer is available for all venues.

Benefits of this collaboration to the UK sector

  • Opportunity for the sector to secure extra visibility on the Turkish market in spring at a discounted rate[1] with a wider geographical reach.
  • Get access to broader audiences with different need levels i.e. certificate, diploma and foundation programmes as well as UG and PG programmes
  • Maintain and increase recruitment share and brand awareness in a competitive market where main players like US and Canada are actively present with national pavilions.

Why do we do this?

The market is growing significantly (please see killer facts below) due to last two years’ security incidents and political developments and also very competitive with active representation offices of US, Canada and Netherlands. We lack presence in spring whereas US, Canada and EU countries with their mission operations and institutions are unitedly present and attend both in autumn and spring.

IEFT is one of the leading recruitment fairs in Turkey with around 150 international exhibitors (mainly from UK, US, Canada, EU countries and other countries in globe). The fairs take place twice a year in spring and autumn in 5 provinces, 6 locations.

With this collaboration we aim to maintain and increase UK sector’s recruitment share in this competitive market.

How will this be promoted to public?

British Council will promote this through its social media channels with the ‘Study UK Days at the IEFT Fairs‘concept. IEFT will have specific marketing and promotions to attract the targeted audiences to the fair. Promotion messages specific to the UK sector will be pre-screened by British Council.
