Nirma University, Ahmedabad, India would like to invite UK faculty who are in India to participate in their induction and research orientation sessions from May to June 2018 to students as a part of the summer school.

Context:

Nirma University, Ahmedabad is one of Gujarat state’s top private universities. They are conducting an induction session for new faculty and a research orientation session and have requested the British Council to introduce them to UK faculty who would be in India during that time and can be a part of the sessions.

a) Faculty Induction Training Programme (Dates: May 28, 2018 to June 22, 2018):

This programme is for training in-house faculty members of Nirma University who are fresh, and would have joined the University within one year and have very little teaching experience. The programme modules consist of teaching-learning, pedagogy, skills, personality development, Know Your University and discipline specific teaching skills, etc.

b) Research Orientation Programme (Dates: June 04 to 16, 2018): This programme is for experienced in-house as well as external faculty members.

 Nirma University wish to request faculty of UK institutes who may be planning to be in India during that time and who are willing to participate in either of these programmes and conduct workshops over 3 weeks. The students shall get brand visibility about UK institutions

Qualifications required:

Expertise in teaching pedagogy, soft skills. Personality development (Refer Programme A)

Expertise in Conducting research (Refer Programme B)

Financial Information: 

Nirma University will pay for domestic airfares within India, will provide boarding and lodging at its guest house and pay a token honorarium of INR 2000 per hour (negotiable)
