When we talk to UK Universities at our events, the often comment how many of our students are not Spanish. Here is a general analysis of students that are resident in Spain but have different nationalities:

Total students from Spain in UK HE (2016/17 data): 12020
Students recruited in Spain from other EU countries: 1435 (approx half of these are British)
Students from Latin-America: 45
All other international students (a huge variation of countries of origin): 265

In summary: 15% of all recruits from Spain are non-Spanish. Within these, 82% are European students and the remaining 18% are international (310 non-EU students overall).
