English will be a must-pass for public universities soon
Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced that a new policy will be implemented to make English a compulsory pass for students in the public universities. He further added that the ability to communicate in English is necessary to be employable.
Language experts and parents generally welcomed the move though they caution against any rash implementation.
