Study UK India Virtual Fair December 2021

After the success of the first virtual fair this year, the British Council in India is delighted to organise another fair in December 2021. We have organised three virtual fairs so far The virtual fairs in August 2020 had 26 participating UK universities and December one had 49 participating universities. In 2021 the first virtual fair was held in the month of August in which 35 UK universities participated. Through the 3 fairs we have had 6830 footfall or students.

In the upcoming virtual fair, we aim to get 1500 to 2000 prospective student participation. The fair will target participation of both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The focus will be to bring you high quality students and parents through a direct engagement format who are interested in January and September 2022 intakes.

About the virtual fair:

A virtual Study UK fair by the British Council in India is specifically designed and conceptualised to allow UK universities to promote their learning environment, chat live and provide one-on-one counselling with Indian students with respect to the courses offered, admission process, application process, deadlines, documentation, IELTS test, bursaries, student internships/jobs, Graduate Immigration Route as well as visa process amongst others. The fair will help universities showcase their brand, infrastructure, facilities, culture, and programmes virtually to a diverse database of students across India. They can also showcase the university campus to enhance the student experience. This will help students get access to essential information and content to aid their decision-making process. Universities are also welcome to have their alumni in the virtual room to interact and advise prospective students

Participating UK universities can connect with prospective students and also have the flexibility to showcase and promote their institution, as they can connect from the classrooms, libraries, halls of residence and wherever they deem fit. There is also a chance to have current student ambassadors/ alumni represent the university and engage with prospective students.

Aim:

  • Destination of choice: showcase UK as a preferred study destination of choice among higher education institutions and students in India
  • Internationalising Higher Education - to encourage continuous strategic engagement and collaboration between UK HEIs and Indian students during and post Covid-19
  • Market solutions/products/service- to promote undergraduate/ postgraduate/ courses/scholarship opportunities to prospective students for and their influencers interested in studying abroad and build pipeline of students for upcoming intakes.
  • Enhance student mobility- opportunity to promote UK institutions courses to their target audiences to build a pipeline for upcoming intakes
  • Direct promotion- opportunity for participating UK institutions to raise their brand visibility, recall and engagement through virtual fair
  • Post COVID-19 campus experience- to showcase how the University is prepared to move back to in-person teaching, inform students about vaccination rules and promote the Graduate Route.
